Felix’s Story
Class of 2027
When Felix enrolled at Oak Valley College, he brought with him the wisdom of real-world experience—and a clear sense of purpose. Having previously owned both an auto dealership and a mechanic shop, he recognized the challenges of running a business and wanted to gain the practical skills needed to manage a successful venture. At the same time, having enjoyed theology courses at a previous institution, he sought an educational environment that provided the structure, values, and accountability he needed to truly thrive.
That decision paid off in the classroom, particularly in Entrepreneurship and Business Development. The course proved to be an eye-opening experience, shining a light on critical aspects of management he had previously overlooked. Through its lessons, Felix gained a clearer understanding of his past business challenges and learned how to approach future opportunities with strategic confidence.
His academic success is anchored in strong personal discipline. To manage his workload effectively, Felix divides each day into two distinct halves—dedicating one portion to studying and the other to completing assignments. This daily routine keeps him organized, focused, and consistently ahead of his coursework week after week
.
Looking ahead to his graduation in May, Felix is eager to expand his impact. He plans to pursue a Master’s degree at a university that aligns with his future goals, with an ultimate dream of opening a school in Puerto Rico modeled after Oak Valley—bringing the same transformative educational experience, values, and community support to a new generation of leaders.
