Angel’s Story
Class of 2028
When Angel first made the decision to attend Oak Valley College, he was drawn by the clear practicality of its model—an affordable tuition and an accelerated path to a business degree. Yet, what truly sealed his choice was something deeper: the genuine warmth of the community. From his very first interaction with the Director of Enrollment and staff, Angel felt an immediate sense of trust and security—a level of authentic care for his personal success that he had found difficult to experience anywhere else.
At Oak Valley, that supportive environment provided a safe foundation for Angel to challenge himself both academically and personally. In his Organizational Psychology class with Professor Angelo, real-world stories brought complex human behaviors to life, turning weekly lectures into a highlight of his academic experience. More than just academic theory, the course pushed Angel into uncomfortable territory: honest self-evaluation. While looking inward felt unnerving at first, it ultimately became an eye-opening journey of personal insight and confidence.
Just as in the classroom, Angel found strength and connection through his cohort. Whether pushing through challenging semesters or celebrating their victories together with off-campus trips like a night at Topgolf, his peers quickly grew into a tight-knit circle. For Angel, these shared moments outside the classroom weren't just fun side notes—they were essential experiences that built lasting bonds and created memories he will cherish far into the future.
Looking ahead to his life after graduation, Angel is ready to broaden his horizon on a global scale. Before entering the next chapter of his career, he plans to travel the world to immerse himself in different cultures. Equipped with new perspectives, a strong foundation, and self-assurance, he intends to pursue an MBA in Global Supply Chain Management at California State University, San Bernardino—stepping confidently toward his ultimate professional goals.
