Services at Oak Valley center on individual student needs and opportunities. As a small community, Oak Valley serves students individually and collectively in small cohorts. As you learn, the cohort is the center of your experience. You journey with a small group of students, together, taking all your courses in lock-step. This ensures you are never lost and never lose focus. The goal is to ensure your attention and focus is on academic success and learning, not navigating administrative processes. Outside class, there are a variety of services to ensure you are able to spend a majority of your time on academics.
Financial Aid - Financial aid, typically, begins with completing your FAFSA. This process, administered by the US Department of Education, provides a need-based estimate of the financial support you require to complete your degree at the most affordable cost. From your FAFSA, you will learn your eligibility for Pell, Cal, and Oak Valley Grants. With these sources of aid, you are provided with an estimate of your net cost of attendance. Regardless of the aid you receive, you are guaranteed to graduate with no student loans.
Academic Services - Services to support your coursework and learning are the top priority at Oak Valley. Your first line of information and support is your professor. With small classes, you will be able to ask questions of your professor, and he/she will guide your learning. Outside class, Oak Valley provides Study Sessions, a daily opportunity to gain support from fellow students, professors, and staff. These sessions provide both collective and individual support. This is a great place to gain clarity on assignments, go over lecture materials that may require additional support, and connect to request one-on-one tutoring should you need additional resources. Additional academic support is provided by the Dean of Academics, and various technology resources
