Promise Grant - Covers Full Tuition

If you are a high school senior or recent graduate (within the last year) and have a 3.0 or higher GPA you may be eligible for a full tuition renewable grant. Grants are free money…not a loan, and you never have to pay it back. In some cases, students receive enough funds to help cover some additional expenses (e.g. books, materials, or other expenses). You are eligible if you:

  1. Enroll as full-time student

  2. Earned a 3.0 GPA in high school or community college (eligibility to be verified). Home school students may meet alternative requirements.

  3. Family income of $144,700 or less with assets lower than $111,900

  4. Qualify for Cal Grant.

  5. Resident of California

  6. Submit FAFSA (Oak Valley school code: 042934)

  7. Undocumented students living in California: California Dream Act application

  8. Create WebGrants account

  9. At most, students receiving this grant are required to pay a modest student service fee each semester
